The Hillel at Florida International University offers innovative programming that enriches the lives of our students culturally, educationally and socially. Through holiday celebrations, trips to Israel, shabbat dinners, community programs and some of the best speakers in the country, Hillel at FIU offers students an experience they won't find anywhere else on campus. Our mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they can in turn enrich the Jewish community in Miami and around the world. By taking the lead on all programming, students gain leadership skills that carry them into their post-college lives, and by sharing these experiences with their fellow students, they gain friendships that will last a lifetime.
Hillel at FIU is the 14th largest Jewish student population in the country. With around 3,500 Jewish students on campus FIU is also the 4th largest university in the country. Our Hillel began at FIU 2014 and 5 years later grew our staff to three with over 500 Jewish students stepping into our doors at Hillel and programs on campus. We provide a positive, engaging atmosphere through religious, educational, cultural, social, and community service programming. In addition, Hillel strives to promote social justice and Israel awareness.
