The Barbara Bader Educational Leadership Enhancement Program (ELEP) was founded in 1993 in an effort to address the scarcity of women and minorities in administrative positions in higher education. The mission of the program is to enhance the knowledge and professional development of women and minorities to create strong and engaging candidates for senior level administrative positions in higher education.
Over the last few years as institutional budgets have become more restrictive, several schools have ended their participation in the program. In light of these financial restrictions, FIU's senior administrators continue to be committed to the professional development of women and minorities. To ensure the perpetuity of the program, the Class of 2013/2014 with the help of the alumni of this program launched the Barbara Bader ELEP Endowment Fund. This endowment serves to sustain the program through its mentoring efforts for women and minorities at FIU, as well as fostering professional relationships with FIU's executive leadership to ensure that ELEP continues to support women in positions of influence across campus.
Your support of the ELEP Endowment Fund will continue to provide its members and participants with the mentorship and leadership skills that will propel them in their careers.
