INR Graduate Student Scholarship

This fund will support scholarships for students in the International Relations program in the Department of Politics and International Relations.  The department intends to eventually endow the fund and award an annual $1000 scholarship for the best conference paper or published article in the field of International Relations.  The department will put out an annual call for best paper/article submissions.  The department's graduate committee for International Relations will then read the submissions and make a selection for the scholarship.  The awards will encourage graduate students to present their work at conferences and attempt publication.

“I am genuinely thankful for the scholarship opportunities I received at PIR FIU while undertaking my doctoral studies. The scholarships helped me attend conferences and present my research which benefited from external critiques. On more than one occasion, I used the funds to buy tickets to fly back to where my family was living at the time. I am thankful to everyone who was a part of the scholarship and whose generosity facilitated my growth as a scholar and a thinker.”
