As we honor the accomplishments and innovations that women have contributed to FIU, we ask that you help ensure that a new era of women can continue to transform our institution and community through the programming and activities of the Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication.
Women make up half the population of our country, yet women make up only one-third of leadership positions in communication today. We are training an army of women empowered by research, knowledge, innovation, and creativity, so they may be better represented at the table where the decision-making process is taking place.
Established by Dean Emeritus and Professor Dr. Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver, the Center began operation in 2013 as a pioneering site for the advancement of women in the field of communication. Its signature programs and events develop ways for future generations of female communicators to excel in leadership.

- Recurring Biweekly Payroll Deductions – Your Gift Amount will be deducted continuously. (i.e., $1.92 = $1.92 per pay period until you request a change)
