Academy for International Disaster Preparedness

The project is an opportunity for FIU faculty, staff, and students to support students of the Academy in International Disaster Preparedness. The intended impact of the funds is to support the dreams and aspirations of deserving students within the program who need financial support. The funds are used to help support students who find themselves in financial hardship but are eager to pursue a career in disaster management. Each gift received is used by the Academy to encourage the hard work of its students in their continued commitment to disaster management. The support provided will continue the growth of professionals in the field of disaster management, which today, more than ever, is called to the frontlines of a global pandemic.
