The College of Nursing and Health Sciences Faculty Development Endowment Fund will advance the mission of CNHS to prepare culturally competent health professionals able to address the critical health care needs of South Florida. The endowment will enable the College to recruit and retain premier faculty members from top-caliber research universities with competitive packages; reward and recognize outstanding faculty research, scholarship, and teaching which advances the University’s commitment to provide the highest level of healthcare to underserved communities in South Florida; provide inter-professional educational opportunities to enhance higher quality instruction and learning, thereby enhancing the academic experience of CNHS faculty and students; and offer scholarships for CNHS faculty to complete a PhD, thereby reducing the shortage of doctorally prepared faculty in South Florida.
As a recipient of Faculty scholarship, I have the opportunity to continue with my educational pursuits in PhD in nursing program.
