Fred Hoover truly represented the spirit of FIU. He was dedicated to the University from its beginning in 1972 and graduated as the first physics major in 1974. He continued to work at FIU. in the capacity of Manager of Laboratories, Chemistry, and Radiation Control Officer until his death in November 5, 1998. On the 10th anniversary of his death, his family and friends established this Endowed Scholarship in his memory. We would like to see this fund grow in order to help more students finance their studies in Physics. Please donate.
